Broadway Academy of Counselling and Psychotherapy Training
Diploma in Integrative Humanistic Counselling
The Humanistic Counselling Diploma program at the Broadway Academy of Counselling and Psychotherapy Training (BACPT) offers a dynamic training pathway that delves into the historical, social, and political contexts shaping Humanistic counselling. Esteemed for its dedication to researching social justice and inequalities within counselling, as well as examining the convergence of education and therapy, this program stands out. Grounded in an ecologically informed humanistic perspective, it upholds the ethical values inherent in a humanistic approach. Throughout the two-year Diploma, students are immersed in a comprehensive curriculum encompassing Person-Centered, Gestalt, and Transactional Analysis therapies, alongside the broader Humanistic framework. This multifaceted approach reflects the program’s commitment to nurturing inclusive and holistic therapeutic practices.
Pluralistic counseling, while not strictly adhering to any single theoretical framework, often incorporates client-centered principles by valuing the client’s autonomy and self-awareness in the therapeutic process. Pluralistic counseling also values the therapeutic relationship but allows for flexibility in adopting various therapeutic techniques and interventions based on the client’s preferences and needs. As part of the course we complete four Saturdays on how Integrate Humanistic with Pluralistic counselling.
Accredited by both the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the program at BACPT ensures graduates meet rigorous professional standards.
